Jackfruit

The Jackfruit is one kind of fruit, which is very popular in the world especially on Southeast Asia. It is also the national fruit of Bangladesh. Jackfruit also known as Jakfruit, Jaca and Nangka in the many parts of the world. The Jacckfruit tree looks like very nice and straight and many farming animal likes its leaf. This tree is widely cultivated in Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The word “Jackfruit” comes from Portuguese “jaca”. The leaves of Jackfruit trees are oblong, oval, or elliptic
in form, 4 to 6 inches in length, leathery, glossy, and deep green in color. Juvenile leaves are lobed and the male and female flowers of Jackfruit trees are born in separate flower heads. In a single fruit, there are up to 100 – 500 seeds in it. The seed is 3/4 to 1-1/2 inches long and 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick and is white and crisp within. Ripe jackfruit is naturally yellow and it is edible bulbs of yellow, banana-flavored flesh that encloses a smooth. But the young fruit is naturally green and it is so strong then ripe fruit. Besides this, it is so much tasteful fruit in various recipes.
